The eye is the best of artists...light is the first of painters.
--Emerson

Colby Chester has been an avid still photographer for more than forty-five years. He has worked in both 35mm and medium format, preferring the versatility of the former over the years. He moved skeptically into the digital format a few years ago, which he uses almost exclusively now. His images have been published in literary journals and art magazines, most recently in the December 2004 issue of the Seattle Review.

Colby's photos can now also be seen in the new book Developing Vision and Style.
